Hi Phil, thank you for your email. That would be really awesome if your firefighters got to wear Red Shirts on Fridays. Our little group started out like that about two and one-half years ago when we saw an email saying that wearing Red Shirts on Friday would show our soldiers that we support THEM!  So we started by doing just that, wearing our Red Shirts and before long I suggested throwing in a couple bucks a week so we could buy a phone card and send it to a soldier, and before you know it, we've sent over 2700 care packages to our troops.  Not bad for a small town of about 6000 people. 

I really appreciate being an American whenever I hear of a group of workers in any capacity, but especially firefighters who want to wear Red on Fridays to show their support. Yours is just the second inquiry I've had from firefighters in two plus years.

I have forwarded your email to our Treasurer's wife, Sharon Hitzman who purchases and logo's all of our shirts. She should be able to give you a better idea on the cost of shirts. 

But thank you Phil and God Bless our firefighters and our soldiers and keep you all safe from harm.  I just do my best thinking of new programs to raise donations and new ways to partner with our community so we can continue our mission.  Recently we got together with the Lion's club here in town and helped them pack care packages for our troops.  I would love to have a picture of your firefighters wearing Red Shirts one day, that would be just superb.
